Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has officially confirmed his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election, after paying the ₦90 million nomination fee of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The payment marks a decisive step in Atiku’s political journey, signaling his move away from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), where he previously ran as the presidential candidate in 2023.
