The Enugu East Senatorial Zone has formally declared support for the re‑election bids of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Peter Mbah ahead of the 2027 general elections.

At a political gathering, community leaders and stakeholders announced their endorsement, pledging loyalty to both leaders. In a show of commitment, the zone also donated ₦300 million to Governor Mbah’s campaign fund.

Speakers at the event praised Tinubu’s leadership at the national level and Mbah’s developmental strides in Enugu State, stressing that continuity in governance would ensure stability and progress.

Political observers note that the endorsement reflects early mobilization efforts in Nigeria’s southeast, where alliances and support bases are already being consolidated ahead of the polls.
