The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned social media influencer Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos.

On June 10, 2026, the EFCC filed a fresh six‑count charge against her, bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and retaining proceeds to the tune of ₦13 million.

The charges stem from petitions filed by individuals and groups, including the Nigeria Cancer Society, who claimed they donated money after Blessing CEO posted on social media that she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer and needed financial support. Investigators later alleged that she falsified medical documents to back her claims.

One of the counts accuses her of fraudulently obtaining ₦13m under false pretence of having a terminal illness, while another alleges she forged a medical report titled “Histopathology/Cytopathology Report” purportedly from Xinus Medical Diagnostics.

Blessing CEO pleaded “not guilty” to all charges. The prosecution requested her remand, while her counsel sought time to file a bail application. Justice Bogoro adjourned the matter to September 24, 2026, for trial and ordered her remand in a correctional centre.
