Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have begun investigations into the activities of self‑acclaimed prophet Godwin Sunday Ajuluchukwucheya, also known as Prophet Sunday Koboko, for allegedly defrauding church members of ₦70,391,600.

A petitioner, Okey Uwakwe, accused the suspect of collecting millions of naira for “spiritual works,” including promises to bring back his brother who travelled abroad since 1997 and to make his sister‑in‑law conceive after 15 years of childlessness.

Ajuluchukwucheya allegedly told members he had won ₦33 billion in a lotto game, urging them to contribute financially with the assurance of dividends. He also reportedly lured members into investing in a rice processing machine worth ₦1 billion.

Investigations revealed that the suspect sold items such as miracle stickers, spiritual dragon, and holy ghost thunder to his followers, claiming they would bring prosperity. Victims said they paid large sums but saw no results.

The EFCC confirmed that Ajuluchukwucheya will be charged to court once investigations are concluded.
