Russian Artist Biała Podlaska Who Criticized Putin Shot Dead in Poland

A Russian artist known for openly criticizing President Vladimir Putin has been shot dead in the eastern Polish town of Biała Podlaska, according to prosecutors.

Authorities said the victim, identified by local media as Robert Kuzovkov, also known by his artistic name Semyon Skrepetsky, was struck by five bullets, including one to the head.

Marcin Kozak, spokesperson for the district prosecutor’s office in Lublin, confirmed that two Belarusian nationals have been detained in connection with the killing, though they have not yet been charged.

Prosecutors noted that Robert K. was involved in artistic work that frequently expressed criticism of Russian authorities. His death has drawn attention to the risks faced by dissident voices in exile.
