The Federal University Oye‑Ekiti (FUOYE) has sanctioned two individuals following the circulation of a leaked video involving the suspended Students’ Union Government (SUG) president.
According to a statement released after internal investigations, the university’s management confirmed disciplinary measures were taken against those found culpable in the incident. The sanctions were imposed after the Directorate of Students’ Affairs reviewed the matter and determined that the leak violated institutional rules on conduct and privacy.
The leaked video, which quickly spread across social media, had already led to the suspension of the SUG president earlier this month. FUOYE’s leadership emphasized that the latest sanctions were necessary to uphold discipline and protect the integrity of the institution.
