Nigerian billionaire businessman Blord has revealed that his marriage is far from the conventional romantic ideal. In a candid interview, he explained that he never formally proposed to his wife, skipping the traditional “Will you marry me?” moment. Instead, he simply told her he wanted to marry her and asked for her father’s phone number so their families could begin the marriage process.

Blord praised his wife’s family for making the marriage process easy, noting they were not financially demanding and even contributed to the wedding. He contrasted this with what he described as more expensive traditions in Imo State.

Speaking about their relationship, Blord admitted that he and his wife do not engage in romantic gestures. He said his wife was once more affectionate, but over time she became like him because he never reciprocated. As a result, they neither hold hands nor kiss in public, and the same applies in private. He humorously compared their relationship to that of an elderly couple married for decades, saying even those couples are “better than me.”
