Nigerian professional wrestler Oba Femi won his first Hell in a Cell match on Saturday night, defeating Brock Lesnar in the main event of WWE SummerSlam 2026 Night One at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. The landmark victory handed Lesnar his first-ever defeat inside the iconic steel structure.

The match capped a five-month rivalry between the two powerhouses and marked the return of the Hell in a Cell format to WWE for the first time in two years. The bout was physical from the start: Femi opened with a flurry of uppercuts, but Lesnar quickly responded with three consecutive German suplexes. Undeterred, Femi knocked Lesnar to the outside and drove him shoulder-first through a table set up against the cage wall.

After returning to the ring, Lesnar struck Femi with the steel ring steps and delivered a fourth suplex. Femi countered a subsequent F5 attempt into a heavy chokeslam. Moments later, Lesnar kicked out of a Fall From Grace powerbomb and immediately responded with three back-to-back F5s, but Femi kicked out of the final cover.

Visibly frustrated, Lesnar tore open the ring canvas and padding to expose the bare wooden boards beneath—a callback to his legendary 2015 Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker—before delivering a brutal Tombstone Piledriver onto the wood. Femi stunned the crowd by kicking out. After disarming Lesnar of a steel chair, Femi landed a final Fall From Grace to score the pinfall victory.

Following the match, Lesnar returned to the ring to hug Femi, raise his hand, and publicly endorse him as the "future" of WWE. Femi, the 2026 King of the Ring winner, had previously defeated Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 in April before Lesnar evened the series at Clash in Italy, setting up Saturday's decisive rubber match.
